What DUKA HURU is

DUKA HURU is an online marketplace that connects buyers with independent sellers across Tanzania. Sellers, not DUKA HURU, own and sell the products listed, set their prices and are responsible for them.

Your account

Give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

Buying

An order is an agreement between you and the seller. Payment is made as shown at checkout (currently on pickup or delivery). Check the item before you pay, and raise any problem with the seller or report it to us.

Selling

Sellers apply and are approved by DUKA HURU. You must describe items honestly, use your own photos or photos you may use, keep stock and prices accurate, honour accepted orders, and follow Tanzanian law, including consumer protection and tax rules.

Prohibited items (for example weapons, drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods, and anything illegal) may not be listed. We may review, hide or remove listings.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the platform: no fraud, harassment, spam, fake reviews or listings, attempts to access other accounts, or interference with the service.

Suspension

We may suspend or close accounts or stores that break these terms or put users at risk. You can close your account at any time from Account, Settings.

Liability

We work to keep DUKA HURU available and safe, but the service is provided as it is. DUKA HURU is not a party to sales between buyers and sellers and, as far as the law allows, is not liable for the products, their quality or delivery, or losses arising from transactions between users.

Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms and will post changes on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
